Wigand) to execute on behalf of the County, Novation Contract #24-925-1 with Lincoln Child Center in the amount of $102,800, for the period from July 1, 1998 through June 30, 1999, to provide school and community based mental health services for Medi-Cal eligible children and families enrolled in the Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnosis, and Treatment (EPSDT) Program. This Contract includes an automatic six-month contract extension through December 31, 1999, in the amount of $51,400. FISCAL WALT: This Contract is funded 51% by Federal FFP Medi-Cal Funds and 49% by State EPSDT Funds. No County funds are required. CHILDREW�S IK?A_Cj STATN `: This EPSDT Mental Health Services Contract will support the following Board of Supervisors` community outcomes: Children ready for and succeeding; in school; Families that are safe, stable, and nurturing; and Communities that are safe and provide a high quality of life for children and families. Expected program outcomes are: Increase and maintain school attendance as measured by school records; Increase in positive social and emotional development as measured by the Child and Adolescent Functional Assessment Scale (CAFAS); Increase in family satisfaction as measured by the Parent Satisfaction Survey; and Decrease in out-of-home placements as measured by mental health and social services statistics. DAC&2RA Dl1 WPfi(k) FOIL UCQM=DATION(S): On February 10, 1998, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #24-925 with Lincoln Child Center for provision of school and community based mental health services, including: assessments; individual, group, and family therapy; medication support; case management; outreach; and crisis intervention services to elementary-aged children and their families enrolled in the EPSDT Program in East County, for the period from January 1, 1998 through June 30, 1998, which included a six-month automatic extension through December 31, 1998. Approval of Novation Contract #24-925-1 replaces the automatic extension under the prior Contract and allows the Contractor to continue providing services through June 30, 1999. This Contract is funded 100 by County/Realignment. BAC S'O FOR ON S This Contractor supplies trained mental health workers to provide bilingual/bicultural interpretation and language translation services* non-therapeutic counseling; and information, referral, and advocacy services for Southeast Asian refugees to assist the County's Mental Health staff in providing services to this client population at the West County Community Mental Health Center. On June 24, 1997, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #24..312-18 with Asian Community Mental Health Services, Inc. for the period from July 1, 1997 through June 30, 1998 (as amended by Administrative Amendment Agreement 124-31.2-19 which included an automatic six-month extension through December 31, ' 1998) .
