Approve and authorize the Health Services Director,;, or his designee
(Donna Wigand) to execute on behalf of the County, Contract
#24-940-1 with Lisa K. Olson, Psy.D. , in the amount sof $37,168, for
the period from October 1, 1998 through September 30, 1999, to
provide school and community basad intensive intermittent mental
health services to severely emotionally disturbed Special Education
students, and their families, in the Acalanes School District for
its Del Valle Special Day Class.
FISCAL XPAICT
This Contract is funded 50% by Federal Medi-Cal Funds and 50% by
Acalanes Union, High School. District funds

In May 1938, the County Administrator approved and the Purchasing
Services Manager executed Contract 124-940 with Lisa K. Olson,
Psy.D. , for the period from April 1, 1998 through September 30,
1998, for the provision of school and communty ' based intensive
intermittent mental health services to severely emotionally
disturbed Special Education students, and their families, in the
Acalanes School District for its Del Valle Special: Day Class.
Approval of Contract #24-940-1 will allow the Contractor to continue
providing services through September 30, 1999.

execute on behalf of the County, Novation Contract #24-938-1 with SenecaResidential and
Day Treatment' Center, Inc. in the amount of $160,638, for the period from July 1, 1998
through June 30, 1999, to provide school based mental health services for Medi-Cal
eligible children and families enrolled in the Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnosis,
and Treatment (EPSDT) Program. This Contract includes an automatic six-month contract
extension through December 31, 1999, in the amount of $80,319.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This Contract is funded as follows:

This EPSDT Mental Health Services Contract will support the following Board of
Supervisors, community outcomes: Children ready for and succeeding in school; Families
that are safe, stable, and nurturing; and Communities that are safe and provide a high
quality of life for children and families. Expected program outcomes are Increase and
maintain school attendance as measured by school records; Increase in positive social
and emotional development as measured by the Child and Adolescent Functional Assessment
Scale (CAFAS); Increase in family satisfaction as measured by the Parent Satisfaction
Survey; and Decrease in out-of-home placements as measured by mental health and social
services statistics.

On April 28, 1998, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #24-938 with Seneca
Residential and Day Treatment Center, Inc. for the period from Match 1, 1998 through
June 30, 1998 (which included an automatic four-month contract extension through October
31, 1998) to provide school based mental health services, including; assessments;
individual., group, and family therapy; medication support; case management; outreach;
and crisis intervention services to elementary-aged children and their families enrolled
in the EPSDT Program in Wash County.
Novation Contact #24-938-1 replaces the automatic four-month extension under the prior
Contract, and allows the Contractor to continue providing services through June 30,
1999.

#24-932-1 with Rape Crisis Center, for the period from July 1, 1998

based mental health services for Meda-Cal eligible children and families
enrolled in the Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnosis, and Treatment
(EPSDT) Program. This Contract includes an automatic six-month contract:
extension through December 31, 1999, in the amount of $51, 000.

enrolled in the EPSDT Program.
Novation Contract ##,24-332-1 replaces the automatic six--month extension
under the prior Contract, and allows the Contractor to continue providing
services through June 30, 1999.

Psychological Services, in the amount of $149,450, for the period from July 1, 1998
through June 30, 1999, to provide school and community based mental; health services for

Diagnosis, and Treatment (EPSDT) Program. This Contract includes an automatic six-month
