SUBJECT: ACCEPT OFFER OF DEDICATION FOR CHANEY ROAD TRAIL EASEMENT FROM
SUNCREST HOMES, SUBDIVISION 7154, ALAMO AREA
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATIONS)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
I. Recommended Action:
ACCEPT Offer of Dedication for recording only the Chaney Road Trail Easement dated November 4, 1997
from Suncrest Homes Number Four LLC.
H. Financial Impact:
There will be no impact to the County General Fund. All fees and charges will be paid by the developer.
III. Reasons for Recommendations and Background:
The trail easement is offered to the County for recording only on behalf of County Service Area R-7A as trail
access along Chaney Road. The Conditions of Approval for Subdivision 7154 required that these easements
be conveyed at recordation of final map for this subdivision. CSA R-7A is still deciding the extent of the
trail system they will operate and maintain. Once they make that decision the trail easement may be accepted
by this Board at a later date.
IV. Consequences of Negative Action:
There will be no trail connection to the west side of San
�Ramon Creek in this area.

SUNCREST HOMES NUMBER FOUR LLC,a limited liability company,hereby offers to dedicate to the COUNTY OF
CONTRA COSTA, a public entity,a non-exclusive easement for pedestrian use by the public,during daylight hours only,to view
and enjoy historical,archaeological,scenic,natural,or scientific sites and as hiking trails,over a strip of land eight feet wide the
southerly boundary of which is the southerly boundary of that parcel of real property in the unincorporated Alamo area of the
County of Contra Costa, State of California,described on the Map of Subdivision 7154 recorded in Book of Maps of
the Official Records of Contra Costa County at pages ,et seq, as"Chaney Road".
Use of the areas after sunset and before sunrise and other than by pedestrians, including equestrians,vehicles,bicycles, in line
skates,roller boards,etc., is prohibited.
This Offer is subject to all easements and encumbrances of record. This Offer is made under protest pursuant to section 66020 of
the Government Code. The basis for the protest is set forth in a separate written communication to the County.
