THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF
CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA
Adopted this Order on October 28, 1997, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Rogers, Uilkema, Gerber, Canciamilla and DeSaulnier
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None
SUBJECT: Hearing on conveyance of County leasehold interest of 1820 Peerless
Avenue, El Cerrito, to the City of El Cerrito Redevelopment Agency
Phil Batchelor, County Administrator, advised the Board that the noticing process
for this item was not complete. Therefore, Mr. Batchelor recommended that the
Board open the hearing, take any public testimony, and continue the hearing until
November 4, 1997, before making a final decision.
Chairman DeSaulnier opened the public hearing, and called for any persons wishing
to give testimony. No persons came forward to give testimony and the Board took
the following action:
1. CONTINUED to November 4, 1997, at 11:00 a.m., the hearing on conveyance
of County leasehold interest of 1820 Peerless Avenue, El Cerrito, to the City
of El Cerrito Redevelopment Agency.
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and
correct copy of an action taken and entered on the
minutes of the Board of Supervisors on the date
shown.

The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County RESOLVES THAT:
The Board intends to convey to the City of EI Cerrito Redevelopment Agency the County's interest
in the real property described in the attached notice. The County currently holds a lease option in the
subject property and has given notice of its intent to exercise the option. .The City of EI Cerrito
Redevelopment Agency is simultaneously negotiating with the current property owner to acquire the
properly subject to the County's lease option.
Subject to the Redevelopment Agency's acquisition of fee title to the property, County intends to
convey to the City of EI Cerrito Redevelopment Agency, the County's interest in the subject property by
terminating its lease. If escrow closes on or before October 29, 1997, the purchase price for county's
interest will be $522,955.02. If escrow closes after that date, the purchase price for County's interest
will decrease by $50.95 per day until the date of close of escrow.
This property is not required for County use.
This Board hereby sets Tuesday, October 28, 1997, at 10:45 a.m. in the Board's Chambers in the
County Administration Building, 651 Pine Street, Martinez, California, as the time and place it will meet
to consummate this conveyance by a four-fifths vote.
The Clerk of this Board is hereby DIRECTED to have the attached Notice published one time, at
least one week preceding the date set for hearing in the West County Times, a newspaper of general
circulation (pursuant to Government Code Section 6061).

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONVEY REAL PROPERTY
(Gov. Code § 25365)
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County, on Tuesday,
October 14, 1997, declared its intention to convey, subject to the Agency's acquisitionof
the property, to the City of El Cerrito Redevelopment Agency, its interest in the following
described real property by terminating its lease for the property:
That parcel of land in the City of EI Cerrito, County of Contra Costa, State of
California, described as follows:
Lots 8 to 20, inclusive, as shown on the Map of Gill's addition to Pullman, filed May
2, 1911, in Map Book 5, Page 102, Contra Costa County records.
EXCEPTING THEREFROM: That portion thereof lying westerly of the east line of
the parcel of land described as Parcel 1 in the Deed to City of EI Cerrito, recorded
April 27, 1961, Book 3855, Official Records, Page 29.

Notice is further given that it is proposed to convey said property to the EI Cerrito
Redevelopment Agency if escrow closes on/or before October 29, 1997, the purchase
price for County's interest will be $522,955.02. If escrow closes after that date, the
purchase price for County's interest will decrease by$50.95 per day until the date of close
of escrow.
The Board will meet on Tuesday, October 28, 1997, at 10:45 a.m. in the Board's
Chambers, County Administration Building, 651 Pine Street, Martinez, California, to
terminate its lease by approving the Lease Termination Agreement by at least a four-fifths
vote.

This Board intends to convey to the EI Cerrito Redevelopment Agency, the County's
interest in the real property described in the attached notice. The County currently holds
a lease option in the subject property and has given notice of its intent to exercies the
option. Upon County's acquisition of title to the subject property under its lease option,
County intends to convey to the EI Cerrito Redevelopment Agency title to the subject
property for $786,433.98 in accordance with the terms and condicitions of the Sublease
to the EI Cerrito Redevelopment Agency dated December 19, 1995, on file with the Public
Works Department.
This property is not required for County use and the sale price is the market value
of said property.
This Board hereby sets Tuesday, November 4, 1997, at 11:00 a.m. in the Board's
Chambers in the County Administration Building, 651 Pine Street, Martinez, California, as
the time and place it will meet to consummate this conveyance by a four-fifths vote.

October 21, 1997, declared its intention to convey to the EI Cerrito Redevelopment
Agency, subject to the County's acquisition, the following described real property:
REAL PROPERTY in the EI Cerrito, County of Contra Costa, State of California, described
as follows:
CITY OF EL CERRITO
Lots 8 to 20, inclusive, as shown on the Map of Gill's addition to Pullman, filed May 2,
1911, in Book 5 of Maps, Page 102, in the Office of the County Recorder of Contra Costa
County, together with that portion of the southerly 1/2 of Huber Avenue, title to which
would pass by a conveyance describing said Lot.
EXCEPTING THEREFROM: That portion thereof lying westerly of the east line of the
parcel of land described as Parcel 1 in the Deed to City of EI Cerrito, recorded April 27,
