HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 10281997 - SD6 Y THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA Adopted this Order on October 28, 1997, by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Rogers, Uilkema, Gerber, Canciamilla and DeSaulnier NOES: None ABSENT: None ABSTAIN: None SUBJECT: Hearing on conveyance of County leasehold interest of 1820 Peerless Avenue, El Cerrito, to the City of El Cerrito Redevelopment Agency Phil Batchelor, County Administrator, advised the Board that the noticing process for this item was not complete. Therefore, Mr. Batchelor recommended that the Board open the hearing, take any public testimony, and continue the hearing until November 4, 1997, before making a final decision. Chairman DeSaulnier opened the public hearing, and called for any persons wishing to give testimony. No persons came forward to give testimony and the Board took the following action: 1. CONTINUED to November 4, 1997, at 11:00 a.m., the hearing on conveyance of County leasehold interest of 1820 Peerless Avenue, El Cerrito, to the City of El Cerrito Redevelopment Agency. I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of an action taken and entered on the minutes of the Board of Supervisors on the date shown. Code § 25365) SUBJECT: Resolution and Notice of Intention to Convey Real Property to the City of EI Cerrito Redevelopment Agency Assessor's Parcel No. 513-364-017 Project No. 5233 EI Cerrito Area 4405-6G5233 The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County RESOLVES THAT: The Board intends to convey to the City of EI Cerrito Redevelopment Agency the County's interest in the real property described in the attached notice. The County currently holds a lease option in the subject property and has given notice of its intent to exercise the option. .The City of EI Cerrito Redevelopment Agency is simultaneously negotiating with the current property owner to acquire the properly subject to the County's lease option. Subject to the Redevelopment Agency's acquisition of fee title to the property, County intends to convey to the City of EI Cerrito Redevelopment Agency, the County's interest in the subject property by terminating its lease. If escrow closes on or before October 29, 1997, the purchase price for county's interest will be $522,955.02. If escrow closes after that date, the purchase price for County's interest will decrease by $50.95 per day until the date of close of escrow. This property is not required for County use.
