SUBJECT: Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #22-530-5
with San Diego. State University Foundation
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
I. RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee
(Wendel Brunner, M.D. ) , to execute on behalf of the County, Contract
Amendment Agreement #22-530-5, effective September 1, 1997 to amend
Contract #22-530-4 with San Diego State University Foundation to
extend the term of the Contract through November 30, 1997 with no
increase in the Contract Payment Limit.
II. FINANCIAL IMPACT:
This Contract is funded 100% by the State of California, Office of
Traffic Safety. No County funds are required.
III. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS/BACKGROUND:
On February 25, 1997, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #22-
530-4, with the San Diego State University Foundation, for the period
from October 1, 1996 through September 30, 1997, for participation in
the California Bicycle Safety Network Project.
Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #22-530-5 will allow
continued participation in the California Bicycle Safety Network
Project through November 30, 1997.
