RECOMMENDED ACTION: Authorize the Board Chair to execute, on behalf of the County, a State Education Coordination and Grants (SECG) 8%/30% Funds Cooperative Agreement for Program Year 1997-1998 (County #19-8261-0), requesting authorization to expend $63,499 of Job Training Partnership Act (JTPA) 8%/30% funds (with a requirement for a local match of at least $63,499 with non-county funds to be provided by Contra Costa College) for the period July 1, 1997 through June 30, 1998 and further authorize the Executive Director, Contra Costa County Private Industry Council, to make non- substantive changes to said document as may be required by the Chancellor's Office/California Community Colleges. II. FINANCIAL IMPACT: None. One hundred percent federal funds. III. REASON(S) FOR RECOMMENDATION/BACKGROUND: By letter of September 18, 1997 the Chancellor's Office/California Community Colleges advised the Contra Costa County Private Industry Council that its JTPA 8%/30% project with Contra Costa College had been approved for funding.
