HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 01141997 - C89 tVA TO: BOARD OF SUPERVISORS Ep L Contra FROM: Phil Batchelor, County Administrator Costa DATE: January 14, 1997 Count'�;; ' y' y SUBJECT: Authorize County Purchasing Services Manager to Extend Short Form Service Contract with Bailey, Kokjer & Berry SPECIFIC REOUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION RECOMMENDATION: Authorize the Contra Costa County Purchasing Services Manager to extend the Short Form Service Contract with Bailey, Kokjer & Berry for an additional amount not to exceed $25,000, raising the total contract price to an amount not to exceed $50,000. The term of the contract would be extended by six (6) months, through July 25, 1997 . FINANCIAL IMPACT: Additional expense to the County not to exceed $25,000, which will be reimbursed by the courthouse fire insurance carriers . BACKGROUND/REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION: Bailey, Kokjer & Berry are an accounting firm with special skills involving direct physical damage and consequential losses resulting therefrom. The County retained their services to assist in the documentation necessary to support and expedite the County's insurance claim review from the courthouse arson. Contract extension needed to complete the final documentation process .
