MOST has just received word that scholarship.funds will be made available from "U.U.B." (a fundraising committee formed by employees of the Contra Costa Health Plan). U.U.B. will be funding a great scholarship program for our next swim season. They have generously committed to providing four swimmers with one balf of their registration fees and a $40.00 gift certificate to NorCal Swim Shop to cover the cost of a team suit. This scholarship program will be available for our 1997 swim season. If you know of a swimmer (or would- be swimmer) who has been unable to join the team because of financial reasons, please let them know that they can apply for one of these four scholarships during our next registration period. Thanks to Becky Susini for originating the MCST scholarship proposal and presenting it to the U.U.B. committee!
