Arlington Way, Martinez; All persons desiring to speak having been heard, the Board discussed the issues and took the following action: 1. CONSIDERED letters received from library patrons regarding the proposed changes to the Contra Costa County Library System; 2. CONSIDERED information presented by the County Administrator and the County Librarian relative to the Workshop on the Contra Costa County Library System; and 3. DIRECTED the County Administrator and the County Librarian to provide a report to the Board of Supervisors on March 4, 1997, at 3:00 p.m., defining the proposed performance contract, providing cost estimates for a ballot measure, delineating the consequences of the proposed break-up of the Central Library, defining the regional governance issues and addressing other issues as noted including: return to source, zone voting, local control and conflict resolution proposals.
