Subject: Sale of County Surplus Real Property
Brookside Drive - North Richmond Area

The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County RESOLVES THAT:
The Board hereby DETERMINES that the real property described in Exhibit "A" and
shown on Exhibit "B" attached hereto, being an uneconomic remnant, was acquired by
final order of condemnation recorded November 12, 1996, Series 96 213074, for the
realignment of Brookside Drive and that portion of Brookside Drive described in the
Resolution of Vacation No. 97/ 84 adopted December 16, 1997, are no longer needed
bli
for road purposes or by the puc.
Pursuant to Streets and Highways Code Sections 8355 and 960, and in consider-
ation of payment of $5,000, the Board hereby APPROVES the sale of said property to
Glenn E. K. Sugihara and AUTHORIZES the Chair to sign a Quitclaim Deed on behalf of
the County.
The Real Property Division is DIRECTED to cause said deed to be delivered to
grantee.

Real property in an unincorporated area of the County of Contra Costa, State of California,
being a portion of the County Road known as Brookside Drive, formerly Road Number 17,
described as follows:
Commencing at the southeast comer of Lot B as shown on the Map of the Sampson Tams
Ranch filed July 1, 1907, in Book 1 of Maps at Page 7; thence along the westerly right of
way line of Brookside Drive, north 0038'18" east 82.19 feet to the Point of Beginning;
thence from said Point of Beginning north 58059'16" east 23.50 feet; thence south
0°38'18"west 124.72 feet; thence south 44004'39" east 28.42 feet to the northeast corner
of Lot 56, as shown on the Map of the Niemeyer Tract filed March 10, 1913, in Book 9 of
Maps at Page 212, records of said County; thence north 88047'37" west 295.15 feet;
thence north 1012'23" east 18.17 feet; thence northeasterly along a nontangent curve
concave to the northwest having a radius of 626.00 feet, a radial to said curve bears south
10042'37" east, through a central angle of 20018'07", an arc distance of 221.82 feet;
thence tangent to said curve north 58°59'16" east 58.33 feet, to the Point of Beginning.
Containing an area of 19,560 square feet (0.449 acres) of land, more or less.
Bearings and distances are based on the California Coordinate System Zone III (CCS27).
Multiply given distances by 1.0000638 to obtain ground distances.
Subject to the reservation for existing and in-place utilities as described in Resolution No.
