HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 11191996 - D9 D. 9 & D. 10 BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA Adopted this Order on November 19, 1996 by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Rogers, Bishop, DeSaulnier, Torlakson and Smith NOES: None ABSENT: None ABSTAIN: None SUBJECT: Kensington Solid Waste and Recycling Committee Establishment and Appointments IT IS BY THE BOARD ORDERED that item of the recruitment process to appoint five Kensington residents to the Kensington Solid Waste and Recycling Committee and the item of the establishment of an advisory committee, consistent with the provisions of the Franchise Agreement for solid waste collection in Kensington are DELETED from Board consideration on this date; and Community Development staff, working with Supervisor Rogers, is DIRECTED to report on a selection mechanism for the sub committee and include the comments of the Kensington Police Protection and Community Services District (KCSD) on the recruitment process and the audit issue when these items are again before the Board; and Community Development staff is REQUESTED to write to the KCSD and solicit their input on those issues . cc : Community Development Department County Counsel County Administrator KCSD I hereby cagy that this Is a true and eared a"d an action taken and entered on the ml M" of ffie Board of Su sore on Up date shown. SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)AND JUSTIFICATION RECOMMENDED ACTION: Direct the County Administrator's office to work with the District One Supervisor's office to initiate a recruitment process by January 1, 1997 to appoint five Kensington residents to the Kensington Solid Waste and Recycling Committee. The CAD's office should seek the advice of the District One Supervisor regarding the composition and requirements for membership on such a committee.
