HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 11191996 - C26 c.z6 IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA In the Matter of Honoring ) ROBERT KENDALL for His 11 ) RESOL UTION NO. 961 514 years of Service to the QV of Clayton ) WHEREAS, after having served for 11 years,first as a City of Clayton Planning Commissioner then as a Councilman and Mayor, Bob Kendall is leaving public office to spend more time at his architectural company; and WHEREAS, Bob Kendall is a Contra Costa native and a 19 year resident of Clayton, which he loves for its rustic charm and country atmosphere, a characteristic he has fought to maintain; and WHEREAS, Bob has championed many city improvements, including the new library, Diablo View Middle School, the Oakhurst Country Club development, and the conversion of the DeMartini Winery into a new City Hall; and WHEREAS, Bob is known for his even temper and calming influence, and his presence and input will be missed on the City Council; and WHEREAS, Bob will not be disappearing completely from the public eye, however, as he will be keeping a close watch on the winery renovation and will be Chair of the Central Contra Costa County Transit Board; and WHEREAS, we extend our deepest commendation and appreciation to Bob for his years of hard work, innovation, and dedication, and we wish him much success and happiness with his future endeavors. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors honors ROBERT KENDALL for his 11 years of service to the City of Clayton. PASSED AND ADOPTED ON November 19, 1996, by a unanimous vote of the Board members present.
