Contra FROM: Phil Batchelor, County Administrator Costa s x�.�-: .� :. • .¢ DATE: November 5, 1996 �_" County Sri SUBJECT: Recommendations of the Rodeo Municipal Advisory Council for Expenditure of the Unocal Mitigation Fund SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION RECOMMENDATION: APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Community Development Director to submit for payment and the Auditor-Controller to pay the amounts on the attached schedule to the organizations indicated from the $50,000 mitigation fund established by the Board of Supervisors in February 1995 with funds from Unocal. BACKGROUND: In February 1995,the Board of Supervisors received and ordered set up in a separate trust fund the sum of$50,000 from Unocal, intended to mitigate the damage from the Catacarb release in 1994. This fund has been replenished in 1996 with another$50,000 from Unocal. The Rodeo Municipal Advisory Council was authorized to recommend to the Board of Supervisors to whom those funds should be granted. Recently, the Rodeo Municipal Advisory Council has submitted.the attached listing of projects to be financed with the remaining monies in the Fund.
