RECOMMENDED ACTION: Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee (Frank Puglisi) , to execute on behalf of the County, Standard Contract #26-056-2 with Diablo Valley Pathology Consultants,. in the amount of $96, 000, for the period from October 1, 1996 through September 30, 1998, for outside laboratory services for Merrithew Memorial Hospital and Health Centers. II . FINANCIAL IMPACT: Cost to the County depends upon utilization. As appropriate, patients and/or third-party payors will be billed for services . III . REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS/BACKGROUND: On October 25, 1994 , the Board of Supervisors approved Standard Contract #26-056-1 with Diablo Valley Pathology Consultants, for the period from October 1, 1994 through September 30, 1996, for processing and reporting of PAP smears for Merrithew Memorial Hospital ' s laboratory. Approval of Standard Contract #26-056-2, will allow the Contractor to continue to provide outside laboratory services through September 30, 1998 .
