SUBJECT: Approval of Novation Contract #24-825-1 with
East Bay Agency for Children
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATION(S) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
I. RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee
(Donna Wigand) , to execute on behalf of the County, Novation
Contract #24-825-1 with East Bay Agency for Children in the amount
of $90, 000, for the period from July 1, 1996 through June 30, 1997,
to provide outpatient mental health services for emotionally and
behaviorally disturbed abused and/or otherwise traumatized children
and their families.
II. FINANCIAL IMPACT:
This Contract is funded as follows:
$30, 000 Federal FFP Medi-Cal Funds
30, 000 State EPSDT Funds
30, 000 County Mental Health Realignment Funds
$90, 000 Total
III. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS/BACKGROUND:
East Bay Agency for Children has been providing research and
development of a new service model for the Child Abuse Treatment
Program under the automatic extension of Contract #24-825.
Novation Contract #24-825-1 replaces the automatic extension under
the prior Contract, and will allow East Bay Agency for Children to
continue providing services through June 30, 1997 .
