SUBJECT: Approval of Standard Contract #25-006-3 with Rubicon Programs, Inc .
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATION(S) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
I . RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve and authorize the Health Services Director or his designee
(Wendel Brunner, M.D. ) to execute, on behalf of the County,
Standard Contract #25-006-3 with Rubicon Programs, Inc . , for the
period from September 1, 1996 through August 31, 1997, with a
payment limit of $87, 804, for provision of supported transitional
living program services for the County' s Homeless Services
Program.
II . FINANCIAL IMPACT:
This Contract is funded as follows :
$63 , 219 Federal Funds
24 , 585 County Funds
Total $87, 804
III . REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS/BACKGROUND:
On September 26, 1995, the Board of Supervisors approved Standard
Contract #25-006-2 with Rubicon Programs, Inc. , for the period
from September 1, 1995 through August 31, 1996 to provide
transitional living program services to homeless single men and
families at the San Joaquin II apartments in Richmond.
Approval of Contract #25-006-3 will allow the Contractor to
continue to provide services through August 31, 1997, which will
complete the fifth (and final) year of federal HUD funding for
this program.
