Community Development / '
City of San Ramon via Comm. Dev. BY1 , DEPUTY
income mentally disabled households . The project has been
substantially delayed due to the loss of the original project site
and nonprofit sponsor. Despite substantial effort, the City has
been unable to identify a new nonprofit sponsor or an appropriate
and cost-effective site. Further, additional funds required to
successfully complete this project are not currently available. As
a result of these difficulties, the City has informed the Community
Development Department that this project will not proceed as
originally structured. Therefore, it is recommended that the
$125, 000 in FY 1991/92 funds previously approved for this project
be rescinded and reallocated to the FY 1996/97 CDBG Housing
Development Assistance Fund for use in funding additional
affordable housing projects . The City concurs with this action.
The Department wishes to emphasize that rescission of the FY
1991/92 allocation in no way precludes or jeopardizes the City' s
ability to apply and compete effectively for CDBG funds to develop
affordable housing in the future.
