BACKGROUND: In accordance with a Board Order approved July 19, 1994, the Private Industry Council was directed to make recommendations for appointments to the Council:directly to the Board of Supervisors, without the need to go through the Internal Operations Committee. The PIC recommends the appointment of Ms. Economou, Senior Geologist, Tetra Tech, Inc., to a Business Category position that is currently filled by Elaine Miyamori; the term ending is 9/30/96. The PIC recommends the appointment of Susan McCormick, Vice President/Human Relations Manager, Wells Fargo Bank, to a Business Category position that is currently filled by Eric Frank; the term ending is 9/30/97. Ms. Miyamori submitted a letter of resignation on July 28, 1994. Mr. Frank has served the full three two year terms allowed by the PIC bylaws.
