District, 375 Eleventh Street, Oakland, CA 94607-4240, advising that District staff has
been authorized to work with County staff to form a joint EBMUD/Contra Costa
County Committee to develop a scope of work and the estimated costs of a study on
EBMUD rates for subsequent presentation to both Boards.

of Governing Board Election, which changes its elections to even numbered
years. Accordingly, the next Governing Board election will be in November of
1998.

RESOLUTION 97-12
CONSOLIDATION OF GOVERNING
BOARD TRUSTEE ELECTION
WHEREAS, Education Code 5000.5 provides for a school district governing board to
request approval from the County Board of Supervisors to consolidate its regular Governing
Board member election with the statewide primary, municipal, or general election, and;
WHEREAS, the Moraga School District Governing Board believes that it is in the best
interests of the voters of Contra Costa County to change the date of its regular Governing
Board member election to be held on the same day as the statewide general election.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Moraga School District Governing Board
that the regular Governing Board trustee election of November 4, 1997, be consolidated with
the statewide general election of November 3, 1998, and with every statewide general election
of even numbered years thereafter.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Governing Board of the Moraga School District of
Contra Costa County, California, on November 12, 1996, by the following vote:
AYES: Deborah Schwab Levine, Deborah Dixon, Lauri Fidell Granoff, Connie Barnard
NOES: 0
ABSENT: Alice Hahn
