DIRECT the Real Property Division to have the above-referenced Grant Deed recorded in the Office of the County Recorder. II. Financial Impact: Payment of$5,000 from Drainage Area 56 funds. III. Reasons for Recommendations and Background: These property rights are required for the East Antioch Creek project, part of the East Antioch Creek Watershed Area Drainage Improvement Plan. The marsh between Wilbur Avenue and Cavallo Road will be cleaned up and opened to increased tidal water flow preserving and enhancing the riparian habitat. Over time, the project will result in the reversion of the existing freshwater marsh to a more natural saline marsh. IV. Consequences of Negative Action: The District will be unable to protect and preserve this valuable environmentally sensitive habitat.
