REAPPOINT to at-large seat #12 on the Women's Advisory Committee for a full three-year term ending February 28, 2000: Doris Jones Hassan 50 Cleaveland Road #12 Pleasant Hill, CA 94523 BACKGROUND: There are currently two vacancies in. at-large seats on the Women's Advisory Committee and two additional resignations that need to be accepted. The Women's Advisory Committee has recommended the appointment of three women. The two seats that are already vacant can be filled immediately. The other appointment must be delayed for 10 days while the vacancy is posted as required by law. However, both the acceptance of the resignation and action to fill the vacancy at a future date can be taken at the same time. In addition, the terms of office for two of the women who are being appointed expire February 28, 1997. We are, therefore, also recommending that these two women be reappointed for a full term of three years at the same time, since the expiration of their term is only two months away. -2- DEC-11-1996 15:25 HEALTH SERVICES ADMIN. 510 370 5098 P.01f04 Gam COM COUNW IWALIM SFXVICM nEPARTTdWff %Yk2:ri::tix!:x•xfK!:.,3eb:>:•x!k7.t!ur,:d%<R}.:Aeuy::,q.fxx::•:,.)::y:;k'r:v:sA:q.:Y:t%e.:!G:µµ r 1.!,pp:o.:ymR...a .:4i xis:RXkaak•k3:SS:keyy::kt>!:29iCSt%:n•u:.sa'N:n:b:.«:xad:rixhe:,:k:x'<:ix+i:i:^xi:+ix>f:i•:: :x:•C:+4:K i;:iygkt;s:xa<•ssxta.ex4t:te:c:e:t.i:xMai•.nuM.xsM%;tA:n, .Nt' ::: A.t .t}' .:,'.n• t..L •w;i.}t.Y:.S+ w k•x.xae50X^>aw]a>:e»N.x:4ses.Rw:iY.x.v.•.n,•Y.s:.k• 44u:ex•:4r:xb:6Y::k0e:e:YSkbtkeK;LYd:ds::X%i4>:Vfkbt:i:Glx:`i{{••NSyJ;iiy;njn•;;:cr,'G;t{% 1 S Xcc:xa'::IMii*'I"Cis:kS:kt.,:r%x:•:h1:pRs:c:exk•:4rYwt•X.:e:a:e:as:::x::.::4ioK..K: x•itvtiX•+A•xS%•.:kk.a:JC.IMY::<N.%%•:•:eM%•. %•%G•fi%IX9XX•YxG!%4{;S;G•% < N{:: M: 4 i%t(•+%•%M•Yie%1%•:fe:t•%•:S.Ta%r:4Y.:<.xq.l4?aX•14:.•:c.:K6wa%i t•x::Y.!r.%q;Gn:i.:e,}:>. I have had a number of personal emerl ancies, and situations that I have had to handle. I thought that those things would be short livied, but they have not turned out to be so, I have enjoyed my service and would like to be welcomed bark at a later time when any life, and personal issues, are more in line with time for community service. When I took on the interum treasurers position I really felt I could handle those responsibilities. But as fate would have it my mother's health turned for the worse. She is better now, thank God, but there is still a greater time coag mittmen+t than I expected. I spoke to Julie Kelly about maybe being,A part of the conference, about a year from now. Right now that may be a posibility. I would appreciate WAC keeping in touch.
