SUBJECT: Approval of Contract Change Order No. 2 for the San Pablo Dam Rd. Slide Repair at
Station 252+00, Project No. 0672-6R6523-93, EI Sobrante area.
Specific Request(s)or Recommendation(s))&Background 8 Justification
I. Recommended Action:
APPROVE Contract Change Order No. 2 in the approximate amount of $800.00 and AUTHORIZE
the Public Works Director to execute it in order to compensate the contractor, Kulchin-Condon and
Associates for the placement of structural concrete fill.
II. Financial Impact:
The project contingency funds are sufficient to cover the change order cost. The project is funded
by Federal Aid Storm Damage Repair Funds (65.8%) and County Road Funds (34.2%).
III. Reasons for Recommendations and Background:
The cumulative total of Contract Change Orders Nos. 1 and 2 exceeds $25,000.00, requiring Board
approval.
IV. Consequences of Negative Action:
Without approval the contractor will not receive payment.
