Due to resignations, 3 of the 4 seats representing women, minorities and other protected groups are vacant. The resignation from the seat for a minority-owned business representative was accepted by the Board on November 7, 1995. In addition, the term of office for the disabled representative and one of the management representatives expire November 30, 1995. Mr. Batchelor has nominated Val Alexeeff for another term as a management representative. Mrs. Miller has indicated an interest in serving another term and we are, therefore, recommending their reappointment. We plan to interview the other applicants on December 18, 1995 and will plan to make recommendations to the Board of Supervisors on January 9, 1996 to fill all vacancies. Any applicants who are unable to make the interview on December 18, 1995 will be able to be considered through a telephone interview with Supervisors DeSaulnier and Rogers.
