SUBJECT: Approval of Contract Change Order No. 6 for the Kensington Roads Improvement
Assessment District-Reconstruction, Phase 4 project, Project No. 4500-6X5222-92,
Kensington area.
Specific Request(s) or Recommendation(s)&Bac group us i ica ion
1. Recommended Action:
APPROVE Contract Change Order No. 6 in the approximate amount of $3,000.00 and
AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director to execute it in order to compensate the contractor, Hess
Construction Co., Inc. for work performed.
II. Financial Impact:
The project contingency funds are sufficient to cover this change order cost. The project is funded
by the Kensington Roads Improvement Assessment District (100%).
III. Reasons for Recommendations and Background:
The cumulative total of Contract Change Orders Nos. 1 through 6 exceeds $25,000.00, requiring
Board approval.
IV. Consequences of Negative Action:
Without APPROVAL the contractor will not receive payment for work required.
