SUBJECT: AUTHORIZATION FOR A GENERAL PLAN REVIEW FOR WLM COMPANY PROPERTY
SPECIFIC REQUEST(P) OR RECOMMENDATIONS) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
RECOMMENDATIONS
1. Authorize a General Plan Amendment Study for the 100 acre WLM
Company property in Alamo.
2 . Granting authorization of this request does not imply any
support for this application, but only that this item is
appropriate for study.
FISCAL IMPACT
The applicant shall pay an amendment fee to cover the County's cost
of this study.
BACKGROUND/REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS
Wright Real Estate, Inc. has requested` a General Plan amendment
study be authorized for an approximately 100 acre area in east
Alamo across from Monte Vista High School. The request was made on
behalf of the WLM Company which owns the property. The site is
currently designated as Singde Family Residential Low Density and
Agricultural Lands. They have requested a redesignati q;lg:le
Family Residential Low Density and Open Space.

Their request is to have the areas designated for development be
reconfigured to better suit the topography of the site. Staff
feels the request for study is reasonable and the study should be
authorized.
Staff may adjust the study area boundaries to provide for a more
logical amendment study boundary.
Authorization of the study does not imply any concurrence with the
request but is limited to the issue that the concept is worthy of
study.
