SUBJECT: Authorizing Execution of Contract Amendment/Extension Agreement (#19-2021-1)
with City of Richmond for the provision of Job Development Services
SPECIFIC REOUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
I. RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Authorize the Executive Director, Contra Costa County Private Industry
Council, to execute on behalf of the County, a standard form Contract
Amendment/Extension Agreement (#19-2021-1) with the City of Richmond
for Job Development and Placement Services to increase the Contract
payment limit from $33,888 to a new payment limit of$66,425 and to extend
the term of the contract from December 31, 1995 to June 30, 1996, subject
to approval by County Counsel as the legal form,
II. FINANCIAL IWACT:
None. One hundred percent federal and state funds.
III. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION/BACKGROUND:
By its action of September 26, 1995, the Board authorized execution of
Contract #19-2021-0 with the City of Richmond for a payment limit of
$33,888 and a term form July 1, 1995 to December 31, 1995 to provide job
development and placement services to GAIN participants.
Now that the Private Industry Council has received an executed
Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) from the Social Service Department
for a full twelve months of funding this contract will be extended for the
full year and its budget increased accordingly.
