ADOPTED this order on Octnher 24, 1995 by the following vote:

RESOLUTION NO. 95/ 511
SUBJECT: Adjustment of Compensation for )
Volunteers in the Oakley Reserve ) .
Division of the Contra Costa )
County Fire Protection District )
(Stations 93 and 94) )
Effective January 1, 1988, the Board of Supervisors adopted Resolution 88/75
which established continuing policy for review and adjustment of pay rates
for volunteer employees in the various County Volunteer Fire Districts; and
Effective July 1, 1994, the volunteer Oakley Fire Protection District was
annexed to the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District and is now
designated the Oakley Reserve Division of the Contra Costa County Fire
Protection District; and
The Oakley Reserve Division Volunteer Chief having requested an adjustment in
the compensation rates for the Oakley Reserve Division volunteer employees;
and
The Contra Costa County Fire Protection District Fire Chief and the County
Administrator having recommended the establishment of the position title of
Senior Firefighter at the rate of $10 . 00 per hour and that the position title
of Captain be increased to $10 . 00 per hour; and
The Board of Supervisors having thoroughly considered this request; NOW
THEREFORE,
The Contra Costa Board of Supervisors in its capacity as governing Board of
the County of Contra Costa and all districts of where it is the ex-officio
governing Board; RESOLVES THAT:
The following position titles and rates of pay are established for all
reserve (volunteer) employees of the Oakley Reserve Division:
Title Rate Per Hour
Captain $10 . 00
Senior Firefighter $10 . 00
Firefighter $ 9 . 00
EMT (and above) with current
certification differential $ .50
Reserve Fire Captains shall continue to be eligible for monthly compensation
in the amount of $80 . 00 for performance of ongoing operational, training or
maintenance assignments at the discretion of the Fire Chief.
