I would like to encourage all of you to review the enclosed Proclamation and explanation of what the Red Ribbon Week is. Also, be prepared to make a very short presentation of the Red Ribbon activities in your region. Each person has only two minutes with a total of 10 minutes for the total presentation. The protocol for the presentation is the following: 1. Mr. Tom Aswad representing the Substance Abuse Advisory Board introduces himself and highlights SAAB's successes of this past year. 2. Each person representing a specific region will introduce themselves, identify the region they represent, and very briefly highlight one or two activities planned for the Red Ribbon week in their area. Please be aware that the supervisors will be handed an inventory of all the activities planned throughout the county so you don't have to go into a lot of detail. 3. Tom will then ask the Board Chair, Supervisor Bishop,to proclaim the week of October 23- 31 official Red Ribbon Week Supporting Alcohol and Drug Free Families and Communities and close the presentation by inviting each Supervisor to come down and receive their ribbons and packets. The packets contain an explanation of the Red Ribbon and a listing of the activities that will take place in celebration of this year's RR. If you have questions call me. Gracias. From the desk of...
