Dear Members of the Board: — ......
Please allow me to express my appreciation for the
outstanding response to the the fire at our courthouse on August
28 . Everyone can be proud of the immediate help which we
received and proud of the quick recovery. Joe Tonda, Risk
Manager, and- Larry Moss, Senior Insurance Analyst, Terry Mann,
Fiscal Officer, Bob Hill, Chief Architect, De Royce Bell, and
many others were among those who have been helpful in this
emergency.
With the assistance of lots. of people, we were able to
restore many of our functions within one day. Within two weeks,
we were able to return to the first floor of the courthouse. we
regret that we will be unable to occupy the second floor of the
courthouse for many more weeks .
Our court is grateful and wants to give recognition to the
special efforts of members of the county team who came to our
rescue. On behalf of the Walnut Creek-Danville Municipal Court,
thank you all very much.
Sincerely,
BRUCE VAN VOORHIS
