SUBJECT: Approval of Interagency Agreement #29-485-1 with the
Contra Costa County Superintendent of Schools
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATION(S) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
I. RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee
(Lorna Bastian) , to execute, on behalf of the County, Interagency
. Agreement #29-485-1 with the Contra Costa County Superintendent of
Schools (Office of Education) , for the period from July 1, 1995
through June 30, 1996, to pay the County $40, 500, for provision of
professional mental health intervention services for certain Special
Education students.
II. FINANCIAL .IMPACT:
Approval of this Agreement will result in a total payment to the
County of $40,500. No County match is required.
III. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS[BACRGROUND:
Under the terms of this Agreement, #29-485-1, the County
Superintendent of Schools (Office of Education) will pay the Health
Services Department' s Mental Health Division a total of $40,500 to
provide professional mental health intervention services to County-
designated severely emotionally disturbed Special Education
students, who are enrolled at the Office of Education's Marchus
School and who are participating in the AB 599 Pilot Project, and
their families.
