SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATION(S) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
I.. RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee,
(William Walker,�; M.D. ) to execute on behalf of the County, Standard
Contract #22-417-3 with Randall Lane Sawyer, for the period from
January 21, 1995" through January 20, 1996, in the amount of $73, 194,
for consultation and technical assistance to the Department's
Environmental Health Division regarding risk management and prevention
programs.
II. FINANCIAL IMPACT:
This Contract is funded by AB 3777 (RMPP Fees) revenues included in
the Health Services Department's Budget.
III. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS/BACKGROUND:
On February 1, 1994, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #22-
417-2 with Randall Sawyer, for consultation and technical assistance
to the Departments's Environmental Health Division and to Contra Costa
County petroleum' refining and chemical manufacturing businesses which
handle acutely hazardous materials.
Approval of Standard Contract #22-417-3 , will allow the Contractor to
continue to provide services .through January 20, 1996.

consultation and technical assistance to the Department's
Environmental Health Division regarding risk management and prevention
programs.

481 with Caryn DiLelio for consultation and technical assistance to
the Department's Environmental Health Division and to Contra Costa
County petroleum refining and chemical manufacturing businesses which
handle acutely hazardous materials.

continue to provide services through January 31, 1996.
