Henry 380 Cordelia Way Walnut Creek, CA 94596 BACKGROUND: The Community Development Rehabilitation Loan and Grant Review Panel consists of five members, three of whom must be knowledgeable in the housing and finance field and two of whom must be citizen representatives of the general public. The role of the Panel is to evaluate and approve housing rehabilitation grants and loans upon the recommendation of the Building Inspection Department. The purpose of the program, which is funded by the Federal Housing and Community Development Act, is to arrest deterioration of older residential areas by eliminating blight and correcting health and safety hazards . Mr. Henry is just finishing his first term on the Panel, having been appointed on December 2, 1992 . As the attached memo indicates their attendance has been satisfactory. Henry be reappointed to the Community Development Rehabilitation Loan Review .Panel for a period of two years beginning January 1, 1995. Their extended term would expire December 31, 1996•. Mr. Mena and Mr. Henry have given their verbal commitment for reappointment. Mr. Mena was appointed to the panel on April 13 , 1987 . Mr. Henry was appointed on December 7 , 1992 . Both members have satisfactory attendance for the past term. The Neighborhood Preservation Program staff and the Loan Review Panel have a good working' relationship and we see, no reason why reappointment should not be made.
