HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 02281995 - H.C CONTRA COSTA COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS Adopted this Resolution on January 24, 1995, by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Rogers, Smith,- DeSaulnier, Torlakson and Bishop NOES: None ABSENT: None RESOLUTION NO. 95/ 23 (Government Code § 25350) SUBJECT: Intention to Purchase Real Property for Buchanan Field Airport Solano Avenue at Highway 4 Al P#3-06-0050-08, 010 Project Nos: 4855-4046-SAS-6X5337 - -- 4855-4047-SAS-6X5349 RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO PURCHASE REAL PROPERTY The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County RESOLVES THAT: It intends to purchase from the State of California for County airport purposes, the real property described in Exhibit"A"attached hereto, for$979,000.00, in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Purchase Agreement between Contra Costa County and the State of California, which is a fair and reasonable price therefor. A copy of said agreement is on file in the Public Works Department. This Board will meet on February 28, 1995, at 9:00 a.m. in the Board's Chambers, County Administration Building, Martinez, California, to consummate this purchase and the Clerk of this Board is DIRECTED to publish the following notice in the Contra Costa Times pursuant to Government Code Section 6063. NOTICE OF INTENTION TO PURCHASE REAL PROPERTY The Board of.Supervisors of Contra Costa County declares its intention to purchase from the State of California, at a price of$979,000.00, approximately three acres of vacant land located at the southwest corner of State 4 and Solano Avenue, Concord, California, and more particularly described in Resolution No. 95/23 and the Board will meet at 9:00 a.m. on February 28, 1995, in its Chambers, County Administration Building, 651 Pine Street, Martinez, California, to consummate the purchase. Said Resolution was duly published in the Contra Costa Times in compliance with Govt. Code Section 6063. The Board hereby consummates said purchase and approves the Purchase Agreement between the State of California and the County for approximately three acres of vacant land located at State Highway 4 and Solano Avenue, Concord, California, and authorizes the Public Works Director to sign the Purchase Agreement on behalf of the County. The County Auditor-Controller is hereby DIRECTED to issue a check in favor of Chicago Title Company, 590 Ygnacio Valley Road, Suite 300, Walnut Creek, CA., 94596, Escrow No. 000076009, for$979,000.00 for said property for payment to Grantor, upon it conveying to the County a Deed therefor.
