ALLOCATION OF KELLER CANYON REVENUES FOR
HOST COMMUNITY MITIGATION PROGRAMS
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
RECOMMENDATIONS:
1. APPROVE recommendations of $160,000 in Keller Canyon Revenues for Host
Community Mitigation Programs for the 1994-95 fiscal year.
2. SUPPORT the Families First, Inc. program for $15,000, authorize the
communication of support to state and local agencies and encourage a
partnership approach between the County and other agencies.
BACKGROUND:
On November 14, 1994, the Finance Committee directed the Community Development
Department to complete the review of applications for Host Community Mitigation monies
as soon as possible. Department staff has solicited proposals and reviewed applications
with the Keller Canyon Host Community Mitigation Fund Advisory Committee. The
Advisory'Committee reviewed each proposal and presented recommendations for review
by the Finance Committee.
The Finance Committee reviewed the Advisory Committee recommendations and heard
testimony from applicants. After deliberation, the Finance Committee endorsed the
Advisory Committee recommendations, which are attached.
