DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DATE : December 19, 1995 SUBJECT: GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT REQUEST BY HOLCOMB & NAZARI CONSTRUCTION SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATIONS) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION RECOMMENDATIONS Authorize a General Plan Amendment study for less than an acre site in the Walnut Creek area. The proposed plan amendment is from Commercial to Multiple Family Residential Medium Density. The authorization of this study does not imply. endorsement of the plan amendment. FISCAL IMPACT The applicant will pay a general plan amendment fee. BACKGROUND/REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS Holcomb and Nazari Construction Company requests that the Board authorize a study to amend the County General Plan land use designation for this property from Commercial to Multiple Family Residential Medium Density. The site is on the corner of Boulevard Way and Saranap Avenue and was historically used for a gas station. Staff recommends that the Board authorize the plan amen t study to further consider the proposed request.
