RESOLUTION NO. 95/ 620
SUBJECT: Applications for Transportation Enhancement Activities Program funding.
Project No. : 0676-6P1039
Whereas, Contra Costa County is an eligible project sponsor for Transportation
Enhancement Activities Program funds; and
Whereas, Contra Costa County wishes to submit a grant application for the following
projects:
A) Newell Avenue Street Calming and Path
B) Stone Valley Road Landscaping and Gateway Project
C) Port Chicago Highway Bicycle Path
D) Olympic Boulevard Path and Landscaping
Whereas, the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) requires, as part of the
application, a resolution from the administering agency's governing body describing the
agency's authority to carry out the proposed transportation enhancement activities,
including commitment of match, indication of amount, and source of matching funds.
Now, therefore, be it resolved, by the Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County that
the Contra Costa County Public Works Director is authorized to execute and file an
application for funding of the following projects under the Transportation Enhancement
Activities Program of ISTEA:

B) Stone Valley Road Landscaping and Gateway $264,000 $36,000

D) Olympic Boulevard Path and Landscaping $102,000 $13,000
Be it further resolved, that the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors by adopting
this resolution does herby state that Contra Costa County will provide the above listed
amounts in local matching funds for each project using County Road Funds.
Be it further resolved, that a copy of this resolution will be transmitted to MTC in
conjuntion, with the filing of the application; and
Be it further resolved, that MTC is requested to support the application for the project
described in the resolution and to program the project, if approved, in MTC's TIP.
