SUBJECT: RESIGNATION FROM THE ADVISORY COUNCIL
ON EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
RECOMMENDATION:
ACCEPT the resignation of Audrey Rice Oliver from the Minority/Women Business
Enterprise seat on the Advisory Council on Equal Employment Opportunities; DIRECT the
Clerk of the Board of Supervisors to apply the Board's policy to filling the vacancy; and
REFER the vacancy to the Internal Operations Committee.
BACKGROUND:
Ms. Audrey Rice Oliver has advised staff;that she is unable to continue serving on the
Advisory Council on Equal Employment Opportunities. We are, therefore, recommending
that her resignation be accepted and be referred to the Internal Operations Committee so
the seat can be filled.

Subject : Resignation of Audrey Oliver
Ms . Audrey Oliver, the Minority Business Enterprise/ Women Business
Enterprise (MBE/WBE) representative on the Advisory Council on
Equal Employment Opportunity has tenured her resignation because of
her work and travel schedules . She regrets not being able to be a
part of such an important group especially during these times when
Affirmative Action Programs are being challenged.
She appreciated the opportunity given to her by the Board of
Supervisors and she has represented the views of minority and women
owned businesses in this County.
