CLERK BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
CONTRA COSTA CO.
am pleased to submit for your review the attached fact sheet explaining our
progress in the recycled water project for the San Ramon Valley. The project will be
provided through a Joint Powers Authority established between Dublin San Ramon
Services District and East Bay Municipal Utility District ("DERWA"), in an effort to
supply recycled water within the San Ramon Valley. We are very excited about the
project and believe the use of recycled water is good public policy in California today.
We are confident that this project will affect all of us in a positive way. Please review
the attached fact sheet, and if you have further questions concerning this project, I
urge you to contact the appropriate representative as described in the fact sheet.
Sincerely,
BERT MICHALCZYK

NUMBER 1 OCTOBER 1995
DSRSD & EBMUD FORM JOINT RECYCLED WATER AUTHORITY
The Dublin San Ramon Services District (DSRSD) and the East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD)
recently formed a joint powers authority and held the first meeting on August 21 in San Ramon.
The joint powers authority is called the DSRSD/EBMUD Recycled Water Authority. It was formed after an
extensive, 12-month study confirmed the benefits of a joint project to deliver recycled water to the San
Ramon Valley.
The project calls for construction of three or four
