SUBJECT: Approving Microfiche/Microfilm Services
Purchase Order Contracts
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
I . RECOMMENDATIONS
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the County Purchasing Agent to execute
purchase order contracts with First Image of San Mateo,
California, and Delta Microfilming Services of Stockton,
California, to provide micro-fiche and microfilm services to
Contra Costa County for the period December 1, 1994, through
November 30, 1996 .
II . BACKGROUND AND FINANCIAL IMPACT
The General Services Department Purchasing Division has com-
pleted a formal Request for Quotation process for Countywide
microfiche/microfilm services contracts . The contracts will
allow County departments to archive County records in an
efficient and cost-effective manner. The above vendors were
evaluated to be the lowest responsive bidders for those
services .
All charges for the services will be paid from existing depart-
ment funds . No additional County funds will be required.
Approximately $12,000 will be saved annually on microfiche/
microfilm services Countywide.
