(Supervisors ' Compensation)
The Contra Costa County Board of supervisors ordains as follows
(omitting the parenthetical footnotes from the official text of
the enacted or amended provisions of the County Ordinance Code) :
SECTION I . SUMMARY. The County has reached agreement with
employee organizations , increasing employee salaries and benefits
over a term ending September 30, 1995 . This ordinance provides
for an equitable proportionate adjustment in the compensation of
the Board of Supervisors . This ordinance also restores to the
members of the Board of Supervisors a 3% salary increase which
the Board has deferred since October 11, 1992 .
SECTION II . Section 24-26 . 006 of the County Ordinance Code is
amended to read:
24-26 . 006 Supervisors . Each supervisor, for service as
such, shall receive a base monthly salary at the following
monthly rates as specified in the Contra Costa County Pay Series
Schedule:
From April 1, 1994 to June 30, 1994 , a monthly salary at
level C1 2038 .
From July 1, 1994 to December 31 , 1994 , a monthly salary at
level C1 2018 .
From and after January 1 , 1995 , a monthly salary at level
Cl 2028 .
Additionally, each supervisor shall receive reimbursement
for reasonable expenses necessarily incurred in the conduct of
such office and such other benefits as are provided other
classified or exempt management employees, and an automobile
allowance of four hundred dollars ( $400 ) per month. Receipt of
the automobile allowance requires that a private automobile be,
furnished for county business .

SECTION III . Ordinances 93-38 and 92-48 are hereby superceded.
SECTION Iy. A copy of the approved Contra Costa County Pay
Series Schedule has been and shall be maintained on file and
available for public view at the Personnel Department, 2nd Floor,
County Administration Building, Martinez, California .

SECTION .V. EFFECTIVE AND OPERATIVE DATES. Pursuant to
Government Code section 25...123 .5 and Elections code section 3752,
this ordinance becomes effective 60 days after passage, and shall
become operative an April 1, 1994, and within 15 days of passage
shall be published once with the names of supervisors voting for
and against it in the CONTRA COSTA TIMES a newspaper
published in the County.
