HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 01111994 - H.C u THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, CONTRA COSTA COUNTY Adopted this Resolution on January 11, 1994, by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Bishop, Mf--Peak, Torlakson and Powers NOES: None ABSENT: Supervisor Smith RESOLUTION NO. 94/30 (Government Code § 25350) SUBJECT: Consummate Purchase and Accept Deed from Contra Costa County Flood Control & Water Conservation District for East County Government Center Southeast Antioch Area The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County, RESOLVES THAT: This Board on December 7, 1993, passed Resolution of Intention No. 93/712 and Notice fixing January 11, 1994, at 9:00 a.m. in its Chambers, County Administration Building, 651 Pine Street, Martinez, California, as the time and place where it would meet to consummate the purchase of the real property described therein from Contra Costa County Flood Control and Water Conservation District, said property being required for the future East County Government Center. Said Resolution was duly published in the Contra Costa Times in compliance with Govt. Code Section 6063. The Board hereby consummates said purchase pursuant to items 1.112 and 1.24 on the December 15, 1992 agenda. The County Auditor-Controller is hereby DIRECTED to issue payment in favor of Contra Costa County Flood Control and Water Conservation District, Project No. 7566- 6D8490, for $425,700 for said property for payment to Grantors, upon their conveying to the County a Deed therefor. Said Deed, dated January 11, 1994, is hereby ACCEPTED and the Real Property Division is ORDERED to have it recorded,together with a certified copy of this resolution. The purchase will be by the County from the District. It requires notice to be published pursuant to S.6063. We have set the time for the consummation of the purchase on January 11, 1994, at 9:00 a.m., as we feel it will not be controversial and should take no more than a minute or two. There will be a companion Resolution on the Public Works consent calendar for January 11 th, also to have the Flood Control District convey the property pursuant to Government Code S.25365 which requires a four-fifths vote. The Board passed two Board Orders December 15, 1992, declaring its intention to take the above actions (items 1.112 and 1.24). These Board Orders spell out the reasons and background for the actions.
