SUBJECT: Conveyance of Easement to City of Martinez
Outpatient Specialty Clinic
Merrithew Memorial Hospital

The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County RESOLVES THAT:
Contra Costa County acquired certain real property located at the northwesterly
corner of "C" Street and Alhambra Avenue in Martinez, for Merrithew Memorial Hospital.
The City of Martinez has requested an easement over a portion of said property,
described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto, for water service purposes. This Board FINDS
that the conveyance of such easement is in the public interest and will not substantially
conflict or interfere with the County's use of the property.
This Board hereby APPROVES and AUTHORIZES the conveyance of an
easement to the City of Martinez, over the property described in Exhibit "A" attached
hereto, pursuant to Government Code Section 25526.6 and the Board Chair is hereby
AUTHORIZED to execute a said easement on behalf of the County.
The Real Property Division is DIRECTED to cause said easement to be delivered
to the grantee.

GRANT OF EASEMENT
THIS INDENTURE, made by and between CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, hereinafter called
the GRANTOR, and the CITY OF MARTINEZ, hereinafter called the GRANTEE,
WITNESSETH :
That the GRANTOR, for value received, hereby grants to the GRANTEE, a perpetual non-
exclusive easement and right of way for the purposes of constructing, reconstructing,
removing, replacing, repairing, maintaining, operating and using, as the GRANTEE may
see fit for water service purposes, an underground detector check valve vault and related
metering devices, together with, other appliances and fixtures for use in connection
therewith or.appurtenant thereto, in, under, along, and across that certain real property
in the City of Martinez, County of Contra Costa, State of California, described as follows:
FOR DESCRIPTION SEE EXHIBIT "A" ATTACHED HERETO AND MADE A PART
HEREOF.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD, all and singular, the rights above described unto the
GRANTEE and the GRANTEE's successors and assigns forever.
