RECOMMENDED ACTION APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Community Services Director, or her designee to execute a contract amendment with William P. Hamilton increasing the payment limit by $17 , 440 to a new payment limit of $42 , 400 for the provision of Human Relations and Labor Negotiation for programs operated by the Community Services Department and extend the term of the contract which began February 24 , 1992 through December 31, 1993 . II. FINANCIAL IMPACT This contract is funded from State and Federal programs operated by the Community Services Department. No County funds are required. III. CONSEQUENCES OF NEGATIVE ACTION A decision not to approve this Amendment could result in the loss of needed Human Relations and Labor Negotiation services to the Community Services Department and severely impair the CSD in meeting guidelines. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDED ACTION The Community Services Department, through this Amendment seeks to extend the services of William P. Hamilton, Contractor, for the full term of the year. There is an existing contract between the Community Services Department and Human Services and Labor Negotiator. The amount allocated for the services from the contract between the County and the Contractor is in the amount of $27, 000. The existing contract began February 24 , 1992 and has renewed for 1993 until June 30, this proposal seeks to extend the contract to December 31, 1993 . The amount of this extension will be $17, 440 payment limit causing an adjusted total of $42 , 400.
