MICHAEL WALFORD, PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR DATE: JANUARY 4, 1994 SUBJECT: APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE CONTRACT CHANGE ORDER NOS. 5 and 6 FOR AIP 3-06- 0008-05 and 06 AT CONTRA COSTA COUNTY-BYRON AIRPORT SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMIMNDATION(S) &BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION I. Recommended Action: APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director or his designee to execute Contract Change Order Nos. 5 and 6 to compensate the Contractor, Ferma Corporation,for additional work at Contra Costa County-Byron Airport. il. Financial Impact: These Change Orders require an adjustment of$509,714.25 and $389,797.80 to the Contract price to date of $3,546,859.85 and $4,056,574.10 resulting in amended Contract prices of$4,056,574.10 and $4,446,371.90 respectively. 111. Reasons for Recommendations and Background: The purpose of this Contract Change Order is to balance pay items and adjust the total contract price to reflect actual in-place quantities versus estimated quantities.
