In 1982, the Board of Supervisors took action to initiate
the Residential Time-of-Use Rate Program to secure some relief from
high electricity bills for our citizens. We also worked with PG&E to
develop a cooperative energy management system for county buildings
and other public and private facilities. It is important for the
Board to maintain a leadership role in energy conversation matters and
work closely with PG&E in this regard.
