HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 02151994 - 1.65ABCDE IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA In the Matter of Extending the ) Bay Cablevision License ) RESOLUTION NO. 94/106 Subject: Extension of Cable Television License Granted to Bay Cablevision WHEREAS on November 22, 1968 and February 3, 1969, the Board granted nonexclusive licenses to Bay Cablevision to construct, operate and maintain a community antenna television system within a certain area of Contra Costa County ( "County") in accordance with Division 58 of: the County Ordinance Code; WHEREAS the above described licenses expire on February 28, 1994 ; WHEREAS Bay Cablevision desires to renew its licenses; WHEREAS the County has amended its Cable Television Ordinance (Division 58 of the County Ordinance Code) ; WHEREAS the County and Bay Cablevision desire to extend the above-described licenses to facilitate completion and review of the renewal applications; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the above-described license to Bay Cablevision is extended to and including March 30, 1994 . BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this extension is granted contingent on Bay Cablevision' s compliance with the Cable Television Ordinance (Ord. No. 93-55) and in accordance with all the consistent terms and conditions specified on the current license award resolutions . PASSED on February 15, 1994 by unanimous vote of the Board. (Clyde Area of Contra Costa County) WHEREAS on November 25, 1980, the Board granted a nonexclusive license to Western Cabled Systems to construct, operate and maintain a community antenna television system within a certain area of Contra Costa County ( "County") in accordance with Division 58 of the County Ordinance Code; WHEREAS the above-described license was transferred to Televents, Inc. by Resolution No. 89/572 dated August 22, 1989 . WHEREAS the above-described license expires on February 28, 1994; WHEREAS Televents, Inc. desires to renew its license; WHEREAS the County has amended its Cable Television Ordinance (Division 58 of the County Ordinance Code) ; WHEREAS the County and Televents, Inc. desire to extend the above-described license to facilitate completion and review of the renewal applications; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the above-described license to Televents, Inc. is extended to and including March 30, 1994 . WHEREAS on August 16, 1966, the Board granted nonexclusive licenses to General Electric Cablevision Corporation (GE) to construct, operate and maintain a community antenna television system within a certain area of Contra Costa County ( "County") in accordance -with Division 58 of the County Ordinance Code; WHEREAS pursuant to a merger between GE and United Artists Cablesystems Corporation Midwest, Inc. (UA) , the Board on August 28, 1984, approved the transfer and assignment of the above- described license to UA; WHEREAS the above-described licenses expire on February 28, 1994 ; WHEREAS UA desires to renew its license; WHEREAS the County has amended its Cable Television Ordinance (Division 58 of the County Ordinance Code) ; WHEREAS the County and UA desire to extend the above-described licenses to facilitate completion and review of the renewal application; . NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the above-described license to UA is extended to and including March 30, 1994 . BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this extension is granted contingent on United Artists ' compliance with the Cable Television Ordinance (Ord.
