RECOMMENDED ACTION: Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee (Wendel Brunner, M.D. ) , to execute on behalf of the County, Contract Amendment Agreement #22-398-4 with Andres Soto, effective February 1, 1994, to amend; Standard Contract #22-398-3 (effective May 1, 1993 through April 30, 1994) , to increase the payment limit by $1,200, from $50, 800 to a new Contract Payment Limit of $52, 000. This Contractor provides consultation and technical assistance with regard to the Department' s PACT Middle School-Aged Violence Prevention Project. II. FINANCIAL IMPACT: This Contract is funded 100% by Federal grant funds from the Office of Minority Health. No County funds are required. III. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS)BACKGROUND: On May 4, 1993 , the Board of Supervisors approved Standard Contract #22-398-3 with Andres Soto, for consultation and technical assistance as Project Coordinator of the PACT Middle School-Aged Violence Prevention Project in West County. In addition to overseeing the activities of the Project, Mr. Soto serves as a liaison with the federal granting agency and coordinates violence prevention efforts with other governmental and community-based agencies'. This Amendment increases the maximum amount the County will reimburse Contractor for travel, mileage and miscellaneous expenses, to allow the Contractor =to continue to travel on behalf of the County through April 30, 1994 .'
