Recommended Action: AUTHORIZE the Auditor-Controller to utilize fund 2651 Org. 7651 for the purchase of park and recreation services to eliminate the need for separate funds for police and park and recreation services as was provided in Board Order dated November 19, 1991. IL financiallmpa None III. Reasons for Recommendations and Background: The Citizens Advisory Committee has recommended that the use of P-1 tax funds be diverted from parking enforcement in favor of Community Center operations. With the loss of Special District Augmentation (SDAF) funding, the Sheriffs Office discontinued parking enforcement in Crockett during May 1993. Special District Augmentation Funds comprised over half of the parking enforcement budget. For many years, the Center also received a separate allocation of Special District Argumentation Funds for center operations. The reallocation of the P-1 tax funds will help offset the loss of SDAF funds for center operations. This Board action will enable the Auditor-Controller to transfer all current and prior year revenue and expenditures from old Org. #7752 to Org. #7651. This entire action will simplify accounting for County Service Area P-1, Crockett. IV. Consequences of Negative Action: The Center will have to be shut down and rental of the facility will severely be curtailed.
