SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATION(S) &BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
I. Recommended Action:
A. APPROVE Right of Way Contract with Richard Granzella, et. al., and ACCEPT Grants of
Flowage Easements dated April 19, 1993 from Richard Granzella, et. al., West County
Landfill, Inc., and North Richmond Properties.
B. AUTHORIZE the Auditor-Controller to issue a check for$10,000 payable to Chicago Title
Company, 3575 San Pablo Dam Road, Suite 100, EI Sobrante, CA., 94803, Escrow No.:
204783, as payment for said property rights, to be forwarded to the Real Property
Division for delivery.
C. AUTHORIZE Chief Engineer to execute said Right of Way Contract on behalf of the
District.
D. DIRECT the Real Property Division to have the above referenced Grants of Easements
recorded in the Office of the County Recorder.
II. Financial Impact:
Payment totalling $10,000 from the State Department of Water Resources (70%) and Drainage
Area 73 (30%).
III. Reasons for Recommendations and Background:
These property rights are required for the Wildcat/San Pablo Creek Flood Control project in
accordance with approved plans and specifications.
IV. Consequences of Negative Action:
The project will not have sufficient land rights to allow construction in accordance with the
approved plans and specifications. /yy

and their employees whenever and wherever necessary for flood control purposes,to enter upon said land with personnel,vehicles and equipment,
to remove all tress,vegetation and structures thereon that interfere with the purpose for which the easement herein is granted.
