Dear Mr. Powers:
I am a Vietnam Veteran. Last year I was diagnosed with Non-
Hodgkins Lymphoma (NHL) . The 102 Congress passed the Agent
Orange Act of 1991 and I have subsequently been classified as a
disabled veteran. I am hopefully now cured of this disease.
I am writing you to commend the exceptional assistance I
received from the Contra Costa County Veterans Service office
during this period. Ms. Jill Martinez was knowledgeable,
resourceful and guided me through the bureaucratic red tape of
the Veterans Administration.
It was refreshing to see a government agency that is
incredibly efficient and upbeat in attitude.
I will never forget the first day I met Ms. Martinez. I had
just been told by my oncologist I may only have a 50% chance of
survival.
The Contra Costa Veterans Service office is the best run
government operation with which I have ever worked. They are a
. credit to Contra Cn^,ta Cniinty,
Sincerely,
9o &g.
